| It was an ideal day for golf - warm and cloudy with a slight wind but the odd shower to cool down; course is starting to look parched in places but the greens are running true so all good. There were 58 Crispies out with, amongst others, Tricky looking distinguished followed by a cloud of flour from Roy going down 17 and Paddy playing a majestic shot through the trees from 15 towards 13. As usual these days, if you haven't scored 40+, it's hard to be in the winnings. Top this week was Jon Foster with 41 from yours truely, Wayne Barrett, Paul Godwin and Paul Thoroughly Good who had a h/c of -3, now to be increased again. It's to be hoped that they all put handicap cards in! There were some who wished to contribute crisps: Andrex_D, Briars, Burdoned, Dawdled, Dead_but_not_gone, Newt_W, O'livid, Oxslip, Dived_and_crashed and Prang. |
